About pcnappeal.uk

A calm, free place to understand a UK parking ticket: what the code means, whether you have grounds to appeal, the deadlines that matter, and a letter you can adapt and send yourself.

Why this exists

Councils and Transport for London publish their contravention-code lists, and the rules live in legislation. But none of it is easy to read on a phone at the moment you find a ticket on your windscreen or in the post. The grounds for appeal are scattered across regulations and tribunal guidance, and the deadlines are unforgiving. Some services charge £20–30 to generate an appeal letter. We thought a free, plainly-written, properly-cited version should exist.

What we will never do

We are not a paid-appeal service. We will never charge you to write or submit an appeal, never take a cut, and never promise to “get you off”. The letter builder runs in your browser and produces a draft you own and send yourself. For complex cases that need real advice, we point you to Citizens Advice or a qualified solicitor — not to ourselves.

Who reviews it

Professional review in progress. Where a figure depends on legislation or an authority’s published list, it is cited to that source with a last-verified date. Read more about how we verify.
